ROSE WHITE

Screen/Read Review:

“This is a contemporary dark and beautiful declaration of love to the spirit of European folk tales that doesn’t shy away from their at times disturbing relation to violence, death and sexual abuse.”

“But it is not the well-designed and at times noir-ish plotline in the first place that makes Rose White such an exceptional and memorable piece of film. What lingers on repeated viewing is an overall sense of sadness and emotional involvement that ties the scenes together and makes each of them indispensable.”

Space Jockey Review:

"With the cinematography alone, Rose White is a work of art in motion — a poem animated, painting its metaphors vividly for all to see."

"Rose White is about how physical manifestations of the imagination and human bonds create anything but something imagined. It’s about how real life can, indeed, be the most horrific fairy tale you’ll ever know.”

Char Hardin Review:

“I can’t urge you strongly enough, if you are attending any (film festivals) that are featuring Rose White, it is a must see! A dark fantasy… that will leave you emotionally shocked and drained. The attempt to create a modern retelling of “Snow-White and Rose-Red”…did it work? YES!!! Raise the curtain and cast and crew take a bow. A job well done. Bravo! 5 out 5.”
